  • a series of Youtube Videos. Part 1

there is not rhyme or reason to these. there's no order and there is no category. i'd just highly suggest you watch all of them. they're good for your soul. Truly.

    1. Now, I am trying to reconcile my issues with Lady GaGa, my best friend makes me listen to her, and occasionally I'm too hyper to care what I'm listening to. But, this is one of the most awesome things I've ever come across. (even though the vocalist isn't the best, the instrumental stuff is phenomenal)
This is The Demonstration's cover of Bad Romance

    2. My mother is a serious Queen fan, so I was raised on their music. I was also raised on the muppet show. So, for me, this is like... God in the form of muppets butchering Queen.... enjoy.
This is The Muppets singing Bohemian Rhapsody

    3. The recording on this is kinda, not the best. But the music and the group are. This is probably my favourite jazz piece ever, whether done on a sax or like this.
This is Mosaic doing Take Five

    4. This next one is a song my friends and I were addicted to our freshman year of high school.... it really won't do much except fry your brain, but it's soooo worth it to listen to it
      This is: The Waffle Song

    5. I don't remember where I found this, it could have been anywhere, but I really like this because it's upbeat and the lyrics (when you read them) are really sweet... It kind of reminds me of some of The Ramones' early work.
This is I Wanna Kiss by: The Blue Hearts

    6. I was among the first crowd who ever heard this song performed. At that point it was still just acoustic as he'd only written it a few days beforehand. It was so fantastic. I like this song because it's all sad and peaceful, albeit emo.
This is Winter Passing by: The Academy Is...

    7. This song is.... dark? twisted? bizarre? all of the above? Truth is, this song even freaks me out a little bit sometimes (the video more than the song) it's one of my "driving fast" songs, and it's one of the songs I most like to quote, but that has the fewest quotable parts... you just can't take most of the lines out of context and be understood, but this song is just.... fantastically dark.
This is Project Pitchfork's song Timekiller

    8. I don't remember when this song came out, or the first time I heard it, honestly, I may not have heard it in it's entirety until about a minute ago. At any rate, this song is just.... ludicrous.
Ironically (or not) here is Luda with You'z A Ho.
      (song ends at about 2:55)

    9. I have a separate memory of this song for every boy who I've had a crush on, because we always end up listening to it. So far, no one's broken my heart so bad that I can't listen to this song and cherish the memory. It's nice.
This is Hands Down by: Dashboard Confessional

    10. So, this song (and the video) is kind of like crack: it's fucked up and twisted, and incredibly addictive... I love this song and I'm not sure I'll ever be able to explain why.
Here is Love Me Dead by: Ludo

    11. I feel like it's probably a bad thing that this song reminds me of my brother, but whatever. My favorite thing about this video is Jay and Silent Bob. =)
      Afroman's Because I Got High

    12. Long story short, Cascada is fantastic.
      Evacuate the Dancefloor by: Cascada

    13. Turn up your speakers (hopefully they're good ones) because your mind is about to be blown. (and remember, I'm not easily impressed by many orchestral adaptations or GaGa soooo.)
This is the only orchestral version of Poker Face that should be listened to.

    14. I have no idea what this song is called or what the words are (well I have ideas, I'm just not certain). but you can't deny that it's sexy as hell.
Винтаж и Елена Корикова - Плохая девочка (клип)
translation: Vintage fet. Elena Korikova - Bad Girls

    15. I owe my knowing this song solely to Kyle Bellmay. He showed me this song sophomore year of high school, a long with a LOT of other random songs, but this is my favorite, and you can't tell me that the extreme "what the fuck?" factor isn't intriguing.
Here's Sin With Sebastian with Shut Up and Sleep With Me

    16. And if you thought THAT was ridiculous and brightly coloured, just WAIT til you finish watching this next one. I love this song. it makes me happy. I want to go dancing when i hear it.
It's Okay to Be Gay by: Tomboy

    17. This next song is included on the list because the first time i heard this song/saw the video I was waiting for my dumplings to be finished in this little dim sum place near my dorm. and it just appeared in my recommendations on youtube... so it's here now.
Superstar by: Tomboy (a different Tomboy)

    18. This isn't a song. This is one of the most life-changing poems I've watched in my entire life.
This is George Watsky reading Drunk Text Message to God

    19. This next video is fantastic. Much better than the band's music video (it makes more sense, too). I'm really digging on this song right now anyway, so it's really nice that I found this video.
This is Harry Potter performing in Good Charlotte's I just Wanna Live.

    20. This is sex in the form of a song. well... no, the song after it is. but this... this is my sex life in the form of a song, i swear. sorry that the quality kind of sucks.
Time is Running Out by: Muse

    21. So this song is pure sex. It's a deleted scene from Repo! The Genetic Opera, andmy favourite song from it. This is going to be the last song for this installment of youtube videos.
This is Needle Through a Bug

  • lyrics that explain what's going through my mind...

"I want you to notice when i'm not around..."

"and i've finally found that life goes on without you, and my world still turns when you're not around."

"you're something beautiful, a contradiction, i want to play the game, i want the friction. You will be the death of me."

"I tried to give you up, but i'm addicted."

"She. She screams in silence, a sullen riot penetrating through her mind..."

"And I'd give up forever to touch you, cause i know that you feel me somehow. You're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be, and I don't want to go home right now."

"and you can't find the tears that ain't coming, or the moment of truth in your lies. When everything feels like the movies, yeah, you bleed just to know you're alive."

"I'll be fine. You'll be fine. Is this fine? I'm not fine! Give me pieces, give me things to stay awake."

"Look at him. Look at me. That boy is bad and honestly, he's a wolf in desguise, but I can't stop staring in those evil  eyes."

"Stop burning bridges and drive off of them, so I can forget about you."

"We grew up way too fast and now there's nothing to believe."

"I believe in you, I can show you that I can see right through all your empty lies."

and, Anyway by Dynamite Hack basically sums it all up nicely...
    or, painfully

"You've got to be kidding me, I'm through with you boy, anyway.
I'll wait for you, I always do. It's dumb but I want to anyway.
Here we are, stuck in Hell, same old game we know it well.
    I don't mind, anyway.
Spark it up and numb me on and off again. Oh, what the hell.
    I don't mind, anyway.
Been sitting here, grab another beer, I'm drunk but I want some, anyway.
I just don't care enough about you. So fuck you anyway.
So, here we are, stuck in Hell, same old game we know it well.
    I don't mind, anyway.
Spark it up and numb me on and off again. Oh, what the hell.
    I don't mind, anyway.
You've got to be kidding me, I'm through with you boy, anyway.
Too numb to know that I'm happy. Without you, I'm better off, anyway.
I just don't care enough about this to make the effort to show you that I care enough to try to get you back in bed with me!
So, here we are, stuck in Hell, same old game we know it well.
    I don't mind, anyway.
Spark it up and numb me on and off again. Oh, what the hell.
    I don't mind, anyway."
